Stop and think about it. Why is there such opposition to the SAVE Act by Democrats? Because as President Trump says … it won’t allow them “to cheat”. That is, of course, very true but does it matter in “state only” elections? That is what the mid-terms are. State elections … not national elections. Elections for ALL Representatives in the House and 1/3 of the Senators..

Remember this famous qhote : “He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day”. It’s from a proverb which highlights the fact that a strategic retreat is sometimes better than fighting to the “bitter end”.

Isn’t that what the Republicans should do regarding the SAVE ACT? Remove the “proof of citizenship” requirement from this bill. Bring it up as a new bill on January 3, 2027. Give it a single purpose which is to require “proof of citizenship” in order to vote in any and all federal elections. Once approved by the Congress and the President it becomes law. Easily said; easily done. Just DO IT, Congress!!!
